Baby Jhanvi’s Food Ceremony

Today was baby Jhanvi’s food puja, a traditional ceremony that honors a baby’s transition to regular food. Jhanvi, who was found abandoned in some bushes by the side of the road is six months old with bright rosey red cheeks and a beautiful disposition. She is very popular and well loved by all.

A visit from Japan

Today a group of Japanese visited. They brought balloons, we danced, sang and had a great time together. Many thanks to our visitors.

Waste Reduction Day

On February 1st Sri Ram Ashram children participated in waste reduction day by picking up trash on a footpath just outside the ashram. Photos were then sent to class 5 students at Mount Madonna School in Watsonville, California as part of their class project. Asked what they learned? “It only takes a few minutes to make an area look nicer”.
